So been having a absolutely torrid time recently with painful outbreaks and spending around an average of 6 hours a day trying to manage the condition. I’ve just started having Vinegar bathes and it seems to be making a difference. Its probably to do with the active ingredient acetic acid.
Heres what I do:
2lt of Malt Vinegar, not sprit and not apple cinder – its much cheaper, around 20 drops of Tea tree oil – pour into a hot/warm bath and lie in it for as long as possible. I start to feel the Vinegar aggravating the areas where I feel most movement after around 30mins. Whatever they are – they don’t like this.
I also make a mix of 50% Vinegar and 50% warm water in a dish and use a small cloth to soak/rub those areas most affected – in my case my scalp. It’s messy, but not too bad as you are in the bath.
Air dry afterwards.
This doesn’t cure, but it certainly seems to fend off and stagnate further development. I suspect this probably kills off around 8% of the infection, that is probably spreading on the thinner areas of your skin.
This is none toxic and apparently quite good for the skin – a slight difference in PH isn’t bad. Its smelly though – and you have to be careful, apparently you can poison yourself with over exposure to vinegar.
